Switching to HDMI caused slow down when gaming.

Question asked by whydoitmc on Dec 29, 2015

This holiday season I received a new monitor. However, it only had a VGA and HDMI port, while my graphics card has 2 DVI ports and an HDMI port. I decided to swap to HDMI, but when I did my games started running slowly, not at a low frame rate, just very slow. I don't know why, considering I have my drivers updated. Does someone know what I should do?
