Don't have a clue if I'm even on the right forum here, but hello anyway

You may well realise I'm not teccy. At all...  but please read on

I have an ATI Radeon HD 5400 Series graphics card in the depths of my PC. My PC is quite fast I think, with 8MB of RAM. can't remember what it actually is though

My monitor is a Samsung 22" with a max res of 1680x1050. I'd like to get a new monitor in the sales, as you do :-)

Something like a 27” or 28" monitor would be nice. Perhaps the Asus PB287Q 28 inch Widescreen Ultra HD 4K Monitor (100M:1, 300 cd/m2, 3840 x 2160, 1ms, DP/HDMI/MHL) Screen size: 28-inch | Aspect ratio: 16:9 | Resolution: 3840 x 2160 which I just found on the good old internet

However it's expensive at around £350, so before I buy, can anyone advise if my rather old graphics card (and the PC) would utilize such a monitor?

And have a brilliant 2016 everyone

Hope someone replies!
