So basically every time I try to install the new 15.12 drivers the install manager crashes. I have since reverted back to 15.7
I am using windows 10 64bit along with an r9 280x could someone tell me whats wrong here?
Display Driver Uninstaller Download version 184.108.40.206
Give this a go, make sure you unplug your wifi/Ethernet and have the 15.12 driver ready to install. Also disable AV when installing the latest crimson.
Let us know how you got on.
What does AV mean?
I've tried all that but still the installer crashes.
How's the crash occurring? Is it when you load the installer, once it asking you what to install, during the installation 2% for instance, what type of crash? Are you unpacking to a clean folder?
It crashes during the installation process, mostly at 2% sometimes at 0 and once at 33%.
Is it crashed, or just stuck? If its stuck I have seen someone say it finished after 20 minutes? Maybe leave it overnight.
it definitely crashes, comes up with the windows prompt of not responding and then exits out
Cool, so now check Event Viewer in Windows to see whats causing it. If Windows has a "not responding" prompt it will log the problem.
I have a similar propblem and when I checked the Event Viewer I got this message:
What is going on?
Try the full download. You need to download the larger driver package.
Hey it worked! Thanks. ^^
