I installed the latest AMD drivers for my R9 380 with all of the accompanying AMD software/tools.

I set up all the preferences and settings for my GPU through the drivers/AMD software (like the power plan and the various video and performance/quality options).

What will happen if i disable all the AMD software from starting (booting) with the PC through the msconfig.exe and the services.msc tools?

Will my GPU still follow the custom settings i have set for it in the AMD software even when that software has not started with my Windows 7 64bit OS?

Or will my GPU revert to some "default" settings since the AMD software is not running to constantly tell it how to behave?

Aside from the above question, are there any major (performance) drawbacks to preventing the AMD software from booting with the OS?
