nano no display

I just bought a Club3D Radeon R9 Nano and there is no display output. I can't even see the POST. However it does boot up because I can hear the windows startup sound. I have an old motherboard, a Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD5 so that may be the issue. I've verified that the motherboard works by putting in an old Radeon 5770 video card. The motherboard has a PCI Express 2.0 slot which should be fine since I understand that the Nano supports down to PCIE 1.1. I have 12GB RAM and a 1000W power supply.

If anybody can help me out, I would greatly appreciate it, otherwise I will have to return the card soon.

Thanks in advance.
