You and I must not be looking at the same threads...I don't see anywhere that AMD has a monopoly over nVidia on driver problems. Your post doesn't make any sense...if you have so much trouble with your M18, why'd you buy an R9 390x? That really does not compute.
But maybe you ought to just go ahead and trade it in while you still can--getting a good, close-up look at the other side of the street will no doubt teach you many things...;)
Good luck! Sometimes, the hard way way is the best teacher.
I appreciate the response, I am not sure how my question doesn't make any sense but, when I was doing research on the 390x vs the gtx 980, the 390x usually beat it's counter part by a small margin on the benchmarks. The cards hardware is appealing but it's the driver issues I've been reading about that makes me skeptical..
Well i brought an R9 390 myself because of the exciting things with Direct X 12
In theory AMD should not have problems with drivers on the next generation of Microsoft's API, but it remains to be seen.
On those text even my r9 390 beats the GTX 980 wile the X version beats it by far.
