if anyone knows please that would be a big help! i tried the method that nvidia was doing but not sure if im doing it right.... (i dont want to give up on AMD but Nvidia seems to be winning 4k gamig right now....:( )
You need to use a DisplayPort 1.2 connection with a compatible DisplayPort 1.2 cable. You need to ensure your cable is plugged into the DisplayPort 1.2 connection on your monitor, as there are often two DisplayPort connections and one is version 1.0/1.1. You also need to set the monitor to the DisplayPort 1.2 channel.
Sorry i forgot to mention that im using a 4K Uhd sony so only hdmi. All amd
dont support 4k 60 hz with hdmi? I heard a couple of friends of mine that
their nvidia works with 2 hdmi or with a single hdmi up to 60 hz. Can i use
2 hdmi for my amd ?
4K isn't supported on the DVI or HDMI outputs?
(Just curious, I don't have a 4K monitor to test this out on anyhow.)
Well it works with hdmi but it doesnt work at 60 hz u r gonna get 30 hz
with amd cards im guessing. With tvs only 30 hz and with monitors only if
they have display ports u can get 60 hz. The problem with amd is that they
dont think first about the people they only want to race with everyone else
doing better than them which really sucks because i have been a fan for the
longest time and my whole rig is amd. Now that 4k is out and becoming
popular i was looking forward to this and now im thinking i might have to
go with nvidia. Im just waiting till this year coming up to see whats gonna
happen with amd and what they gonna do to support their customers. I spent
4000 on pc components to build my full tower rig and to change to another
company hurts a lot (its like breaking up with a gf you love).
I thought you could achieve 4K at 60fps with Displayport to HDMI 2.0 cable?
Yeah when that comes out who knows when that will come out and they even
said that they cant guarantee that it will do 60 hz. There are no hdmi 2.0
adapters yet most of them that say that r false advertisement
I honestly thought the cable could achieve 8K at 60fps? I cant believe the cable isn't out yet?
yeah i know nvidia was able to achieve that with 2 hdmi onto UHDTV
I'm sure the cable will be released soon.
