I underclocked my 8350 with catalyst cause my it went to heat when my boxed cooler went on 20% power. Now the setting is gone but its still underclocked. How can i fix that?
Edit: I didn't read your question right. You'll have to roll back drivers to turn off your underclock. Then you can reinstall crimson drivers.
You could also download amd overdrive.
If you ever want to downclock again you could lower your multiplier in bios.
I would just get a new cooler, I'd hate to have to downclock my cpu.
First of all thanks for the fast answer. Ive downloaded Overdrive now. But how can i fix it now. I tried it but it always getting back to the old Catalyst setting
I would recommend a total clean install of the drivers again. This should wipe any settings left over. CCC would save your software overclock into the registry, its likely this is still around. This should sort it. If not the next hour will be fun as you will need to clean install again, install CCC, turn it off, clean install Crimson again.
I solved it probably. I just installed a old Version of the CCC and clocked the CPU back up. But i dont know if there will we any problems because i didnt delete the old Version of CCC.
CCC overclocking works from boot, so is associated somewhere when Windows starts to load. You could set it up to only come on when you log in. Like sirmatthewofhodge stated, if you still need to downclock lower the multiplier in your bios. If anything goes wrong its not system mess up able either.
Good to hear your up and running.
