How can I tell what motherboard I have? Is it "Formula" or "Formula Z" are the drivers for both these items the same?
Download HWiNFO, this will tell you your mobo, chipset, RAM, even the date made.
But both mobos you mentioned may have slight differences, 1 I think supports 2x x16 PCIe and 2x x8, another only does 1x x16 and 3x x8 PCIe. So you pay more for the Z as you have a faster PCIe bus when Crossfire-ing (two x16). But the chipset is the same, see this for more info. Go to the 990x and fx.
