My R9 390 gets low fps.  Should I upgrade my CPU to an 8320?

I recently purchased an MSI R9 390 and have been noticing low framerates with many games (all at 1080p).  In BF4, I can hardly get over 60fps, usually hovering around 50 and sometimes dropping to high 30s (with both mantle and DX11).  This happens in other games as well.  My processor is an FX-6300 clocked at 4.8ghz.  I expected my CPU to bottleneck my GPU some, but not this much.  Would it help if I upgraded to an FX-8320?  I just don't want my $300s to go to waste.

My specs:

FX-6300@4.8GHZ

CoolerMaster Hyper 212 Plus

MSI R9 390@stock

Seasonic 620W PSU

1tb WD Blue HDD

Gigabyte Ga-78lmt-usb3 motherboard

8gb G.skillz ram@1600mhz
