Hi, am I the only one experiencing visual glitches in the Witcher 3 after the Crimson drivers ? Then Arne not artifacts, and then appear at the same places. Thanks! R9 290.
Does it have small squares flickering around all over your screen?
if so, Yeah, Im currently doing a full driver reinstall, Ive had the same issue with Fallout 4 and Diablo 3 as well (both not on the same scale)
My Witcher also had Large black squares on my last time trying, it then crashed
*They are not artifacts.
its exactly this problem BUG Report for Crimson Driver regarding Witcher 3 (Pixelated Artifacts) , did anyone found a hotfix ?
Reinstalling all AMD software has fixed it for now, I dont know if it will stay fixed, but it seems promising
I did a reinstall and did not fix it, I played other titles but they do not have this problem , its not like the kind of artifacts you get from OC to much, just like som kind of pixel distortion in some objects of the game like some roofs. Thanks anyway !.
Are you still experiencing this? It's driving me nuts. I've tried everything. I've clean installed and swapped drivers multiple times. Every setting imaginable.
Still experiencing this using 16.1 drivers. Gonna try using 15.1 drivers tomorrow and see if itll fix it
Keep an eye on this:Witcher 3: Crossfire Full-Screen Glitching : Amd
Looks like if you turn off vsync it goes away. But that's not a fix.
Solution: Revert back to pach 1.12.1 This patch for my build is unstable and leads to OS corruption if allowed to freeze. Heres how to make it stable: Go into witcher bin and config files and find resources. EnableUnloading = 1 EnableValidation = 1 EnableLeakCheck = 1 FileQueueSizeGame = 600 Maximum memory budget for uncompressed data = 600 MaxUncompressedBudget = 2048 Find the x64 file and change the name of galaxy.dll to galaxy1.dll to break the file from opening, then go to the GOG menu (for those using it) and turn off the in game overlay (Might not open, hence be necessary). These are not optimizations, there is a CPU trade off for stability, but if you are playing the game with AMD graphics hardware this is a work around that works for me and if you have GCN architectures, especially second gen and higher, probably you as well. i7 6700k 16gb 3333 cas 15 R9 390X CF windows 10 build 10240 home x64. I know different windows 10 builds, and haswell chips this fix works too so it probably works for basically everyone. Using latest graphics drivers. Make sure you make a witcher profile and set AFR compatible.
I have played through TWE 1, and currently playing through TWE 2 and never ran into any problems as of yet. Would just like to put this out there as it seems pretty popular among Witcher Fans, Are there any mods being used? And/or SweetFX being used etc. Might want to look into the INI. config as well.
Yes, I have no problems with Crimson and Witcher 3, Crimson 16.7.3 currently, but the game has always run fine for me under the Crimsons. (But it would be nice if AMD would get its certificate problems straight so that I could install 16.8.1...!)
