DDU seems to remove drivers but does not resolve issue. Windows Update driver works, however.
Sabertooth Z77 with Fury X.
ok men found solution, Reinstall Windows 10 it keeps your personal files but delete all programs and Amd software then when it start the procces just unplag Ethernet cable, downlad Crimson first to have it on pc, so with pc without internet install Crimson it will install it without problem.
You mean the Display Driver? i have the same problem its very frustrated, and i dont know why nobody try to help with this.
Have you tried using the AMD Clean Uninstall Utility?
AMD Clean Uninstall Utility
I uninstalled normally through Programs/Features, then ran the utility. Rebooted and installed Crimson. Hope that helps.
This warning show in the registry after Runing Cleanutility.
I have tried both the AMD tool and "DDU" - no luck. after reboot, the installer only installs the install manager. everything else fails.
Earlier drivers install fine. what am I missing?

r9 270x Dual-x
Asrock 980DE3 Vers.2.0(Latest version, updated it to see if that was problem)
No antivirus only Windows Native Defender.
I had CPU overkcloked with the CCC last beta version, but i dont have issue with it, its a Dispolay Driver problem.Windows 10 Pro build 1511 updates 3 days ago, seems like windows think 15,201 its the latest driver and dont accept the new one 15.300.
Intel Core i5 3770k, no overclock
R9 Fury X
Sabertooth Z77, 2104 BIOS (latest), Intel Chipset V10.1.1.7 for Win10 32bit&64bit (Beta)
Fresh Windows 10 install (no update) via Media Creation Tool
(I reinstalled Windows from scratch to rule out issues with my installation, but hat this same issue before on the "updated" built as well)
I use Bitdefender and I tried with disabled (not installed) and enabled Antivirus, no difference in symptom.
The AMD Clean Uninstall completes successfully.
I agree with archerr. Windows installs driver 15.201.1151.0 via Windows update fine.
I cannot install any other driver (as if Windows prevents the installation).
So we'll just wait for the next Crimson iteration? or is there anything else we could do?
Nice :-) That means Windows does get in the way with the verified driver.
OK I'll give it a try tonight, will let you know.
yeah i just spended 3 days breking my mind tryind to solve it, and its just this simple, you have to reinstall you third party programs but it didnt tkae to long.
Confirmed - works. Thank you, archer! now I am curious what happens when AMD updates the Crimson driver..
yep im curious too, maybe Microsoft will fix it with next update.
Excellent! Sorry I didn't suggest that earlier.
