We're talking about around 5-10 Celsius. Re-installing the Driver 15.7.1, the CPU is less warmer.
Anyone having the same problem?
My computer went from idling at 36 to 45C so I would say yes. The program has only caused me issues I regret upgrading.
I'm on a custom loop so cant be 100% sure, but seems I'm idling at 38oc. Waters set to 30oc constant, the delta is low at the moment. Tonight when the ambient temperature is lower I can be sure as normally idle at about 35 or lower.
Check your CPU clock when idling. If it is at max Turbo frequency then crimson might be forcing it to be (Assuming you aren't using High Performance power profile)
I'm using the standard mode profile. It increased without doing anything specifically. Besides installing the Crimson Edition of course.
Funny enough because of Crimson my cpu is stuck at 2,1GHz out of 4.0GHz.
But using my arx control from Logitech my cores combined are averaging 3% in idle.
Has anyone checked Resource Monitor to see what might be causing it? atieclxx and atiesrxx are both idle for me (0%average), I cant see any other culprit (if any in my case).
You are referring from the BIOS, right?
For resource monitor, no.
This will tell you all processes from user to system. I'm still unsure if it is causing more heat as I'm on water, not as sensitive as air. The ambient temps been fairly constant and I'm getting 2.5oc difference between water in and out of the CPU block.
All I can say is that I have three chassis fans and use Asus AI Suite Sensor to see the temperature and noticed that the CPU got warmer from 35 up to 43-46. I'm using the previous Driver now.
I presume you tried the hot-fix drivers before going back to the stable CCC? I know the stress of all this Crimson stuff so might be more of a pain than good, also I take it the temps being reported by AI Suite are CPU AUX? Because CPU Core is an algorithm that reads the socket temp and CPU load to give a fan speed control, kinda a failsafe. That's why it goes below room temperature which is impossible. AUX is the one you want.
Its good to hear your all up and running again, and cool
