Does AMD Radeon R7 240 support Dolby Atmos [HDMI] passthrough?

I have a Dolby Atmos receiver, but I can't get it play Dolby Atmos... it works with DTS, Dolby Digital, etc. The PC is an i7 with 16G RAM, AMD Radeon R7 240 video card (driver downloaded November 20, 2015 from AMD), running Windows 10. The receiver (Denon AVR-S910W) is connected via HDMI cable to the PC. I have downloaded an .m2ts file with a sample movie (~2 minutes) Dolby Atmos encoded. However, when I try to play the file on my computer (using VLC, PowerDVD14 or Films&TV) and output to the receiver (HDMI pass-through) I get a VERY choppy sound, like 1 sec on, 2 seconds mute, over and over.

I'm wondering what I have to do to get this working: another video card, driver, etc.
