Radeon R9 270x not working with Windows 10

Question asked by mrvarsi on Nov 25, 2015

Hi!

In July/August I updated from Windows 7 to Windows 10 and after the update windows hasn't been able to work with my graphic card.

I bought it in May and I have never had any problems with it until Windows 10. I thought first that the first AMD update was incomplete, but its November now and I still have the same problem.

Windows error:

Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)

The problem isn't that I can see or play anything, but the graphics card isn't optimal. Resolution is not in it optimal and neither are the games I'm playing. Its like windows doesn't quite know what my graphics is.

Ive cleaned and uninstalled all AMD drivers in safe mode and in regular mode. Ive stopped windows auto update and installed an old driver that actually work for a while.

I have physically removed the graphics card and installed it with no change.

The very latest driver did fix something though, I could play Fallout 4 in some miraculous way.

Can someone please help me?
