I seem to have the same problem. This problem only occurs with a very specific program, an audio vst plugin.
When I open software that uses this plugin, it crashes with the error "LoadLibrary failed with error 87: Incorrect parameter."
After renaming atig6pxx.dll (in System32 folder), the problem is solved, but only for x64 programs that use the plugin.
Opening a 32bit program that runs the plugin still crashes with the same error.
I don't know exactly if this problem started with the crimson driver, but if I uninstall it (no amd driver installed at all) the issue is solved.
Specifications:Radeon software Version - 15.11
Radeon Software Edition - Crimson
Windows Edition - Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
System Memory - 8 GB
CPU - Intel Core i5 460M @ 2.53GHz
Onboard graphics - Intel HD Graphics
Graphic Card - AMD Mobility Radeon HD 5650
If I could offer some advice it would be to either install the hotfix for Crimson, or to revert back to an earlier driver. At the moment I'm on 15.7.1. Hope this helps.
Well... Tried the new driver version 15.11.1 hotfix update and the same problem persists:
This problem started with the new Crimson driver. I use programs like AutoCAD, Revit, Photoshop and it's always work correctly until now...
I googled the issue and it looks like it could be an incorrect registry value that affects programs using OpenGL.
So disappointed =(
Backing to old drivers until AMD fix it!
I feel your pain. I'm so sorry I cant help you in this matter. I'm sure AMD are taking note right now, lets hope.
The issue is related to OpenGL being broken in the driver, you will have to uninstall it with Display Driver Uninstaller 184.108.40.206 and then find 15.10 Beta drivers and install those instead as those are the last Catalyst drivers, you can find them at Guru3D just do a Google search and end the search with Guru3D
Again... Tried the new Crimson 15.12 driver and nothing happen'
Hey AMD! PLEASE! Fix this OpenGL fatal bug!
Here's a log of SketchUp error (a program that uses OpenGL):
======== Starting GL ========
Got PF= 84 from registry
ARB functions NOT available.
I have the same issue. When I attempt to open any Virtual Box application or VBox itself, I get this error. It's obviously clear that is an OpenGL error but AMD is doing nothing about it. I reported twice.
Intel HD4000 + AMD 7730M
Windows 8.1 64 Bit
It may be also old Intel + new AMD driver problem but whatever happens someone needs to solve it!
I have tried both older and the latest Intel Graphics drivers for the HD 4000 but none seems to work its specifically a Crimson issue as 15.10 Beta drivers work just fine for me. This is the first time I have had LoadLibrary error and neither 15.11 nor 15.12 works for me because of it as many of my work tools are OpenGL driven for graphics acceleration.
Rendering 4k videos with processor is not very pretty a big let down on AMD's part but knowing AMD it will be fixed possibly soon though everyone just needs to report the issue to support
Same error here.
I'm running a HD8970M + Intel i7-4700MQ + W8.1 and there's no way to solve this thing.
Anyone knows where I can find old drivers? I'm pretty tired of this stupid error ...
Here from Guru3D, these are the LAST Catalyst drivers ever released.
And here is 15.11 BETA drivers if you need those instead of 15.11.1
Use the Display Driver Uninstaller 220.127.116.11 uninstall all the drivers in safe mode just to be on the safe side because Crimson can leave residue, this uninstaller deletes everything from Intel display drivers, nVidia or AMD you can pick which ones you want to uninstall its pretty straight forward and the best out there.
Forget...wont be fix for that....two more moths, and I will change for nvidia...i will buy a new pc with nvidia, im done with lack of amd support
Thanx man. I got it done. Anyway it's really a shame that new drivers cause such a huge issue. Not being able to use programs such as AutoCAD is big issue (at least for me)
Guuyss, is it fixed?? Have you tried the new hotfix drivers?
No, I have just tried it this time around I do not even get any error message it just outright crashes on me but its OpenGL related definitely, every OpenGL program and games wont launch and crash before they can launch, DirectX works just fine.
I am not sure if AMD is trying to kill off OpenGL or something, some people do not seem to have any issues.
It would be interesting to see if anyone else get any error message or if it works for them.
I myself are still using the 15.7.1 drivers for the Fury X, even with the new crimson drivers, still experiencing the same issues. ( I would revert back to CCC if possible. )
Hello, I have now fixed the issue by using older OpenGL files, this allows you to use Crimson driver 15.12 I have not tested with 15.16 as it gives me BSOD when I install it, but you can always try, try this method and I hope it work for you as it did for me.
The fix to this is to use the last working OpenGL files, I have extracted these from the last working http://https//mega.nz/#!XYEUCA7Z!M18axYW6VJBnp6t0XcLWrpeQgh7pR_gAA3eSpXoD7xc
Its a regular .ZIP file with the following inside:
Clean old drivers with Display Driver Uninstaller Download version 18.104.22.168
Install Radeon Crimson 15.12 (Do not use 15.16 Beta as I am not sure whether the files will work with it, the installation causes BSOD on my Windows 8.1, you could try if you like and report back)
Replace atig6pxx.dll, atig6txx.dll and atio6axx.dll in C:\Windows\System32
Remember to backup these files, you can simply just write atig6pxx.dll.BAK behind them and then copy the new ones from the .ZIP file, ignore the atiglpxx.dll, I do not really see any use for it in Crimson but I kept it just in case.
didnt work on me....
Which version of Crimson Driver did you try it on?
crimson 15.12....but now i have rolled back to ccc 15.7.1....a stable version
I did it because, im gonna buy a desktop with nvidia, and this laptop im going back to win7, im done with amd support

Dude, it's already fixed with 16.1.1 hotfix and 16.2.
You need latest intel driver (jan. 2016) and latest amd driver.
yeah but i have a mobility HD 6***M series....only can update to beta crimson (15.12)
You did not provide any form of information of what kind of GPU you had or system, we cannot read minds.
Provide information next time.
And yes the HD 6xxxM are out of support they are legacy cards, you do realise these cards were released in 2010? Its 6 years ago.
Neither did you state what the issue was, now I am going to assume you updated your Intel graphics to latest driver or AMD CPU/APU drivers.
And used the Display Driver Uninstaller to completely remove all the GPU drivers to install the newer ones.
Keep in mind I got these OpenGL .dll files from the Catalyst 15.11.1 Beta driver for the HD 7xxxM/8xxxM
According to AMD the HD 6xxxM should support Catalyst 15.11.1 Beta just fine, if it does not work copy the 3 .dll files from the working Catalyst driver for you and then save them somewhere. Use DDU to uninstall the AMD drivers and then install Crimson 15.12 Beta
If you honestly think nVidia is so much better, please go have a look at their forums which are just sad in how many people have so many issues that have been solved by AMD many years ago, nVidia Optimus still is broken and wont properly pick the nVidia card over the Intel integrated graphics.
Finally bro', problem solved!
First update HD Graphics 4000 w/ driver "Intel Graphics 15.33 (01/21/2016)" then uninstall the AMD Drivers w/ "DDU 22.214.171.124 (12/03/2016)" and install "Crimson Edition 16.3.1 Hotfix (03/17/2016)"
Everything seems to be ok...
