I'm having problems with the new Crimson software. It hangs on install on 2% and becomes unresponsive almost immediately after clicking install. Windows 10 64bit, R9 270X
As recommended...do a clean install >Clean Install AMD Graphics Drivers
I had to remove a card as mine crashed or hanged. If your Crossfired? Also I found in the past skipping the audio driver first time round as caused problems like crashes. Then install separately after.
Clean install is always a good idea as well. Ccleaner after to make sure nothing left over in the registry.
It's a single GPU. I've tried a clean install right away, with or without the audio driver, almost anything I could think of and it was always the same. Right after clicking install it becomes unresponsive. I was already planing on reinstalling Windows so I went and did that, and that was the only thing that helped. It's working now, thanks for the help guys.
Try disabling virus or malware scanners. I had the same problem, temporarily disabling AVG fixed it.
I had the same issue, followed the AMD Clean install graphics driver, and before installing AMD driver, I uninstalled rivatuner and msi after burner, disabled bit defender antivirus and MOST importantly gave it 20+ minutes time for the installation to complete. It gets stuck at 2, 16 and 33 %. but it completed after 20 minutes. So if you get stuck, try giving it more time initially! before you try the above steps!
You think installing AMD drivers lasting 20 minutes is normal?
