Windows event ID 500

Question asked by johnrxx99 on Nov 22, 2015

Hi, I recently installed a R9 200 into my PC which is using Windows 7. The CPU is an Intel i7 with 16 GB RAM.

After running a diagnostic it shows the following:-

EventData

DisplayDeviceFriendlyNameLength25
DisplayDeviceFriendlyNameAMD Radeon R9 200 Series
MemoryBandwidth90256700
MemorySize2931539968
Scenario2

and described it as an ID500 event. That is described by Microsoft in this page http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/3142.event-id-500-windows-diagnostics-performance.aspx  which bascially says to update the driver and check with the maker. Using the AMD driver checker it says it is up to date.

Not sure what to do from here but thought I'd check with the forum first.

Thanks and I hope the above makes sense.
