Final Fantasy XIV - Heavensward may crash when run in DirectX 11 mode and borderless window mode ,r9 380 driver 15.11 beta still cash win 10 ,direct x 11 error 11000002
This issue was resolved with the 15.10 driver.
I'd suggest you do a complete uninstall and reinstall of the latest driver.
I remember you saying that, but, having just come back from attempting two clean installs with the latest beta driver (15.11.1) - one with guru3d's DDU (220.127.116.11) and one with your AMD Cleanup Utility (dunno about versions, but I just got it off AMD's site half an hour ago) - I can confirm that I'm still getting the "11000002" error alongside a crash in Final Fantasy 14 in DX11 mode.
The error is most prevalent in populated zones; most reliably, while standing in Idyllshire I can reliably get it to crash within 5 minutes.
The new drivers may have provided a solution for some users, but it appears Tonga based GPUs are still having the problem. One of my systems with an R9-380 crashes within 5 minutes of playtime, regardless of populated areas or not. A system with an R9-280 runs it fine. I've posted this thread to try and seek additional things to try. If someone comes up with a solution, PLEASE let me know!Do any of you other smart people have any more ideas? (FFXIV DX11 kersploding R9-380) Plz help!
@ray_m Please be aware this issue not only continues to affect at least some amount of AMD Tonga GPU users, but with FFXIV's latest patch, the game no longer supports the DX9 client. In other words, until it's resolved, we can't play a game we've devoted a VERY significant amount time and $$ into!
Do you happen to have overclocks set?
I'm getting this issue on 15.11.1 after overclocking my 7970, but don't seem to have instability anywhere else at all.
