Switching from APU to GPU

Question asked by magicant on Nov 9, 2015

I had my computer assembled for me and it uses an APU, my current build can not support gaming as well as i hoped. I would like to switch to a GPU (Most likely a r9 380 or gtx 960). Is it possible with my build/motherboard? Is it simple to switch from APU to GPU?

CPU

  AMD A8-5600K

  Trinity 32nm Technology

RAM

  8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 665MHz (9-9-9-24)

Motherboard

  ASRock FM2A75 Pro4-M (CPUSocket)

Graphics

AMD Radeon HD 7560D \

AMD Radeon HD 7560D + HD 6670 Dual Graphics (Sapphire/PCPartner)

Also, i've noticed that Speccy states that crossfire is disabled on this build yet on the Catalyst control centre there is no option for crossfire only dual graphics (which is enabled). How do i enable crossfire?

Apologies if this is the wrong place to post.

Many thanks.
