AMD card(HD 7000 series) will not output 1080p 60Hz

Question asked by jlm264 on Nov 4, 2015

I recently picked up an amd hd 7850 and swapped out a gt 610 for it. The card is obviously much better, but in the catalyst driver I cannot set my resolution to the proper 1920 x 1080 resolution running at 60Hz. Instead the only option for 1080 is 1080i which runs at 30Hz and is far from acceptable. I've tried HDTV support and manually adding checking the box, but the option never shows up anywhere else. I am using a Dynex 24 inch TV as my monitor, but all my other devices properly run it at the native 1080p. Windows 10 also recommends I change to that resolution, but when I do, it drops to 1080i anyways. Any help would be greatly appreciated !
