I mailed my AMD Radeon 5570 in durring warranty for a stalled fan, and when I got it back, same problem. I'm sure if you check your records, you will find my name. Can you send me a fan and I will replace it myself?
When and to where did you mail it to ?
Warranty comes from the manufacturer of the card (for example, Sapphire, Asus, Gigabyte), so you should contact the actual manufacturer of the product).
I mailed it to AMD, because the fan on the cpu stopped turning. When I got it back, it had the same problem like nothing was done. Now that I use the computer more often, I would like to keep it cooler and the fan only has 3 screws (easy to replace). I'm sure if you check your records, you will find me in there.
The CPU and GPU are two different things.
If you're having an issue with the fan on your GPU (AMD Radeon 5570) you will need to contact the manufacturer of the card.
I bought the Radeon 5570 at Best buy brand new. Within 4 months the fan stopped working so I filed, got proccessed a claim, mailed it in to AMD. When I got it back, the problem was still there They can’t replace a $2.00 fan under warranty?), so now that I use the computer more, the Video card CPU is heating up more, and I would like to replace the fan to accomidate more usage and overheating.
We don't provide warranty for GPU's - that comes from the manufacturer. Our RMA process only covers CPU's.
You possibly are confusing AMD with the actual card manufacturer.
When do you think you processed this warranty ?
My apologies. I contacted Visiontek and they are taking care of the problem. Thank you for your patience and again my apologize.
