my amd catalyst promped me to switch to super resolution when I hit ok my screen change to stripes ando now I cant switch back.
boot in safe mode and remove the display drivers , reboot , download and use ddu to completely remove all traces in safe mode , reboot and install the correct drivers for your hardware/os
hold down f8 when starting pc and there should be an option there saying something like VGA MODE,, or low display mode or somecrap.. that will set your resolution low..
it saves time instead of having to uninstall
I had a similar experience upon plugging a TV into my GPU, Catalyst suggested it's super resolution.I clicked yes thinking it would revert after a few seconds if I didn't click the "I can still see" button but no dice.I restarted into safe mode disabling the display driver but no change upon normal boot.I tried to press f8 for VGA mode but all my options where off the screen, BIOS was also half off the screen when I booted into that. (I think this is just due to plugging in a old 50" TV and I understand this would not usually happen)I didn't want to uninstall my driver completely so I kind of just changed my resolution blind,I logged in and waited a few seconds then I did a right click and pressed the up arrow 3 times, then enter. Then I pressed tab and down randomly a few times and hit enter, then my display kicked back in upside down and in a lower resolution which I then sorted out back into 1600 x 900 Both the other solutions are better than this but I was highly irritated there was no prompt to accept the new resolution that catalyst had set for me.I only clicked for it to set a new super resolution because I thought it was going to change back if I didn't click to accept after it had set it.Anyway good luck!
