i dont understand these numbers, i saw the 1GB/S in a linustechtips video review of the fury x

i dont understand these numbers

i dont make gpu's so could someone here explain the reason for the 1GB/S

is it purly a technical limit or was it delibratly done to make the furyx2 shine or what ?

im running the card in pci-e2.0  i thought that was limiting my true potential of the card but after knowing its 1gb/s  ???

or are they mistaken at linus tech tips?
