Recently my computer reboots maybe once a week while surfing the internet or watching YouTube. From the Event Viewer I can deduce that the rebooting was caused by what is called WHEA-Logger with the event id 20 that reads:
"A fatal hardware error has occurred.
Component: AMD Northbridge
Error Source: Machine Check Exception
Error Type: HyperTransport Watchdog Timeout Error
Processor APIC ID: 0"
After doing some research some sources claim this is a driver issue and some others say it is in fact a hardware failure in the motherboard. I've had this problem ever since I build my newest desktop, for around 2 years with this reboot happening very randomly, sometimes once a week and sometimes after a 6 month hiatus. In these 2 years I have clean installed Windows at least 2 times, could it still be a driver issue or is my motherboard faulty?
