since i found nothing here, i wanted to ask, if its possible to improve the performance for this game.
The problem is mainly due high CPU Load for this game. Known that AMDs DX11 performance is badly depenting on CPU Power and so on, the performance is just low.
When i drive alone in this racing game performance is okay. While driving with 24 cars the cpu load reaches 80-85% and fps is falling rapidly from 60 FPS to 35 FPS. The Nvidia 960 is sadly faster in this situation. My card isnt overheating/throttling too.
So optimizations are needed here, the devs of Kunos said it already to us users, that you have to start your work finally. Assetto Corsa isnt Early Access since some months ago. Also on Steam this game is often on top of sales, even being a simulation!!! So there are many customer there.
All AMD Cards need better performance (not crossfire meant here), but in my case i need it for serious gaming with enemies too.
i tried 2 pc systems with this card and driver 15.7 or 15.8 beta (no difference in performance):
Intel i5-4460 - Seasonic M12II 520w Evo Edition - Asrock B85M Pro4 - 8 GB Corsair DDR3-1600Mhz - MSI R9 285 2GD5T OC - Win7 Pro x64 - Dell S2715H - Thrustmaster T500RS GT6 Version - Xbox 360 Gamepad
Intel Xeon 1231 v3 - Gigabyte GA-H97M-D3H - MSI R9 285 2GD5T OC - Corsair CXM 600W - Seagate 4TB SSHD - 8GB Corsair Vengeance 1600 - Windows 10 Home 64-bit - T500 RS
Res 1920x1080/ Fullscreen On / AA 2 / AF 2 / FXAA Off / Shadows Med / World detail Very high / Smoke Very Low / Smoke in mirrors ON / PP Effekt all on low quality - only DoF Off / FOV 56º / Mirror res normal / Cubemap level Low / Frames Low
There should be medium settings possible, when pcars (shitty gameworks game) reaches more and better setting already!
2. point: the framelimiter isnt always working for this game. Sometimes i start normally the game and it wont limit to 60 FPS. While activating supersampling its never working like expected. So please fix this.
Thx in advance, sorry for wrong formulation in some sentences, but sometimes it needed to be said me thinking.
