I have a DELL Studio540 with a Radeon X1300 DMS59 256 MB GDDR2 PCI Graphics Card. The card does not work on Windows 10. What card can I use to upgrade?
I'd imagine any of the following would do the trick: R5 240, Radeon HD 7750, or Radeon HD 5450. I don't think you have any 6-pin PCI Express power connectors in that model, so realize that when selecting the card. Also note that there is no explicit support for Windows 10 from Dell for that model PC, so replacing the graphics card may still not give you the experience you want.
You stated that the current card is PCI. PCI Express would be preferred, but if you must have PCI there are a few out there like this one:
JATON Radeon HD 5450 Video-339PCI-HLX 512MB 64-Bit DDR3 PCI HDCP Ready Low Profile Ready Video Card
Windows® 10 Driver Support for Discrete AMD Radeon™ Graphics Products
