I've got a Radeon 7900 and three monitors. But I can't activate all three at the same time. They're connected by two DVI and one DisplayPort. How is that?
Hi Martin Jacobsson,
What adapters are you using?
What monitors are you using?
Are all three Monitors detected correctly in Device Manager? Or do any of them show as a 'Generic' Monitor?
Was my post helpful? If so, please make sure to mark it as correct/helpful where applicable.
I am using these screens:
S27D590 (Samsung, with DP)
HP x22LED (HP monitor, with DVI)
HP LA2206 (HP Monitor, with DVI)
They are all visible in the Device Manager but they all show as Generic PnP Monitors, might this be the problem?
I've used this exact PC before with the same AMD software and it worked. This problem was caused when I bought the Samsung screen.
It could be an incompatibility issue that has been brought on by adding a Display Port connection to the two DVI adapters you are using.
What DVI adapters are you using? Are they active or passive? Do you have the identification number for the adapters?
Please disconnect/unplug (not turn off) the Samsung monitor that is not working correctly and reboot the system with only the two monitors that work correctly. Once Windows has loaded, plug in the Samsung monitor and enable it via the Catalyst Control Center or Windows Display Properties.
