Windows update finds wrong graphics driver

Question asked by ernst-emil on Oct 11, 2015

I did a clean install on Lenovo Yoga 500-14ACL (80NA)

Before I did the install I took a screenshot of "Devicemanager" it shows that the Graphics card is:

Enhedshåndtering 2_redigeret.JPG

I then ran the DXDIAG to find the correct Processor,

AMD A8-7410 APU with AMD Radeon R5 Graphics

I went to Download Drivers and chose manually select driver > Step 1 = APU > step 2 = Mobile APU > step 3 = select your processor > step 4 = Windows version.

It installed correct, and the driver is showing the same in "devicemanager" as before the clean install. So far so good.

I updated the system completely, installed Office 365 and all the other programs needed, still all good.

But then I checked for updates again and now it finds two recommended updates, the annoying Win 10, (should be possible to hide update) and

This update AMD Radeon HD 8670

I installed it and now it shows AMD Radeon HD 8670 in "Devicemanager"

I removed the driver and installed the one downloaded from AMD and also were installed by Lenovo.

Can anyone clarify this scenario for me?
