Win10 non-blurry lower resolution options for UHD monitor?

Instead of running a UHD monitor at full resolution and using Windows 10 dpi scaling to enlarge the text, I'd rather just run the monitor at a lower resolution.  I have the Dell P2715Q 4k display and a Macbook Pro with the Radon R9 M370X w/ 2GB.  In Mac OSX all text stays crisp and clear at multiple resolutions.  For Windows 10 (using Apple's boot camp setup) text is too small at full resolution.  Using the dpi scaling kind of works, but a lot of apps still don't really support it, so buttons overlap and they are painful to use.  When I select a lower resolution i.e. 2560 x 1440, text is blurry.  I thought this would only be the case with older LED monitors not running at native resolutions and Windows 7.  Dell support says using a displayport connection, the monitor should be crisp at any of the lower resolutions.  Can the AMD driver be customized to help fix this, or is this a windows issue?
