I installed a Radeon R7 250 card into my Windows 7 machine, running AMD Phenom II X6 processor and 16GB Ram. I now cannot run the WEI assessment program; nor do I get any sound from my sound card.
1) what were you running before
2) done use the HDMI cord, use DVI (DVI is HDMI without Audio wires)
3) WEI ... do you have the newest Drivers? (15.9.1 beta) - but... you dont need to run it... it doesnt do anything and the number it gives you is worthless.
I understand the WEI is as truthful as EPA figures on a car sticker, but it gives me more or less an apples.to.apples way of evaluating changes, without benchmark programs.
Did a REGEDIT to enable performance assessment, deleted old files, did a clean boot, then ran WINSAT FORMAL from the command line. Got my mojo back!
"Lord, thank you for teaching me to laugh again, never let me forget that I once cried."
lol a lot to go through for a number glad you got it working again though...
I rolled back the audio driver and got sound back.
