I bought the AMD athlon x4 860K
i installed it properly but i have overheating issues
At idle my cpu is at 50 degrees Celcius While gaming it's at 100 degrees Celcius
Does anyone now how to solve this?
What monitoring software are you using? Basically, AMD overdrive is the most accurate (not to say the only one), though it doesn't display temperature, but thermal margin.
I am using speccy as to read the temperatures...
What is the temperature reading in BIOS? And please try AMD overdrive, that's the only way to be sure if temps are too large
In the bios it tells me around the 50 to 55 degrees celcius and the same with AMD overdrive...
You are good. Thermal margin shows how far CPU is from maximum temperature allowed.
What are the values during the load?
But i read on some sites that around the 40 degrees celcius is normal for a cpu. And that 60 at is too high for a cpu if you are doing nothing... My last cpu was while gaming around the 50 degreess. So i think im not good with the temperatures. Im not a computer specialist so i dont know what you mean by the loads during the load.
As I said, thermal margin value from OD is not CPU temp. It's maximum temperature - current tempereture. So your value of 58˚C means that CPU temp is around 30-35˚C (I don't know what is exact max temp for 860K)
