Underperforming R7 M265 on Dell Inspiron 15 5547

Hello, I'm currently using a Dell Inspiron 15 5547 with a R7 M265, what I was told when I bought this laptop a year ago. I find that Speccy and GPU-Z can't seem to have a read on the temperature of this GPU, and I'm having frequent short freezes when playing LoL at highest resolution with lowest graphic quality. I've tried updating the driver to latest, and then the GPU is detected as R7 M260, but I've felt no performance gain or lost. From that, I've a feeling the AMD GPU wasn't used at all whenever I play games, even when power settings were set for performance. I've made a complaint to Dell and they've just retracted the driver and then returned with the same old one which doesn't help at all. I did make a clean uninstall of old drivers before updating, by the way. Can anyone give me any info if it's really underperforming, or R7 M265 is just that crappy. Any help is appreciated.
