    Windows 10 overheating issue FX-9370

    on_e

I recently upgraded to Windows 10 Pro from 8.1 Pro.  Since then, my CPU started overheating and reaching extremely dangerous temperatures. It peaked at just over 90°C while burning video files using Nero.

I use HWINFO to monitor my system at all times.

      System specs of note...

      AMD FX-9370

      ASRock 990FX Extreme9 Motherboard

      Cooler Master Seidon 240M

      RAIDMax 1000AE PSU

This is all in a Thermaltake Core X9 case with 18 case fans. (push pull on 3 radiators). Airflow is not an issue.

And my CPU and Graphics cards are watercooled.

My CPU socket temperatures are fine. I'm currently underclocking this thing to 1.48v just to be able to use my PC to do simple tasks.

By the way my CPU hit 90°C while at 1.48v, which is much hotter that my R9 290X's ran at with their stock coolers.

I also slowed my HT multiplier down to prevent any type of failure.

Everything else in my system seems to be running fine.

I am completely dumbfounded by my processor.

Can Windows 10 be the cause?

This started happening the moment I upgraded.

And if so, what would be a possible solution?
