Hello I have a few questions about crossfire.

I'm running Windows 10, AMD Phenom II x3 720 2.8GHZ CPU, 10GB DDR3 1066mhz (cl7) and a R9 280 windforce edition. I can play most games, DR3 used to work til windows 10, GTA V works on max settings 35-50FPS no lower or higher and some other games.

With crossfire, if I got 2 3GB memory cards will it use all 6GB or just 3GB still? I know higher memory is required for higher resolution gaming.

Can I also cross 2 different GPUs? e.g R9 290x with my R9 280? I read it lowers the clock speeds of the other card to the weakest one, does this happen? If so would it be cheaper to get another 280?

And is PCI 2.0 x4 a bottleneck? I saw a chart on a single card and it was only around 4-6 fps loss from x16 and x4.
