Since downloading the latest update (AS OF THIS MORNING) for my ADM (TM) R7 M360 graphics hardware, I'm get this error message on a blue screen: THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER. Any ideas that aren't too techy?
What OS are you using?
If it is Windows 10, was it an upgrade?
What version of the Catalyst drivers do you have installed?
Windows10 Home, supposedly I have the latest Catalyst version according to AMD.
Were you able to try disabling video capture as detailed above?
I just tried it, sorry for the delay. Will let you know. FYI it crashes about every 20-30 minutes.
Tried it and still have the problem. The reason I couldn’t try your cure was that I was working with HP almost all day yesterday. They are sending me a disk that supposedly will fix the crashing problem. I really appreciate the council.
Glad to be able to assist. Hope that new disk puts you right as rain!
After a bit more investigation, if you installed the Gaming Evolved/RAPTR app with the driver, you could try to disable video capture in the software. Looks like that worked for some others.
You can disable the Record & Replay functions by going to your Control Center (or Home tab) in the Raptr or AMD Gaming Evolved client and clicking the "On" buttons next to the Highlight Clips or Game Replay icons. This should change them to the "Off" position.
This will disable the automatic functionality, you may still see the option while playing a game, but don't freak out! That's just reminding you that you can re-enable it at any time, but it's not actually active.
