After updating to Windows 10 the HDMI output does not work anymore (graphics card AMD AMI Mobility Radeon HD 5470)

Question asked by drwho on Sep 13, 2015

I have Notebook HP G62-b02SG with the graphics card from AMD (AMI Mobility Radeon HD 5470). After updating from Windows 7 to Windows 10 the HDMI output does not work anymore. That means it is not possible to use HD monitor or TV in the Projector mode, which is absolutely non acceptable while having a laptop with a Blu-Ray drive. The latest drivers from AMD incl. Current beta version and Microsoft do not help, although the Radeon HD 5000 series are supposedly supported. The forums on the Internet are full of similar messages for the HD 5000 series (my and other graphics cards are concerned). Is it worth waiting for functioning driver, or is the only way to re-install Windows 7?
