Freeze/black screen while installing AMD driver

So I bought a new PC this week with the following configuration:

Intel Core i5-6600K / 3.5 GHz - 6 MB cache

Gigabyte GA-Z170XP-SLI - ATX

Scythe Mugen 4 PCGH

Crucial BX100 - Solid state drive - 250 GB

MSI Radeon R9 390 Gaming 8G

TP-LINK TL-WDN4800 450Mbps Wireless N Dual Band

CoolerMaster V550 Semi-Modular

Corsair Vengeance LPX -- 8 GB

Installed W8.1 Pro on it, but now I cant seem to install the AMD driver. Everytime I install it shows a black screen and freezes when its going to change my resolution (Detecting the hardware?) during installation of the driver. This is on a clean W8.1 installation. When this happens I cant do anything, I have to force the computer to shutdown and when I restart the computer CCC is installed in my program list, but I cant access the CCC anywhere. And in device manager it still says Microsoft Basic Display-adapter.

Tried installing the following driver versions:

The one I got delivered with the graphics card (MSI CD)

I've already tried running DDU but that doesnt seem really logic as it is a clean windows installation..

I just cant seem to install any driver as it freezes during the installation..

Any suggestions, help, solutions?
