Aside from VSR not working in windows 10 on my crossfire 7970 setup my monitor is always showing as disabled in device manager every time I startup windows, vsr still doesn't work even when I enable it.
1. What is the monitor, make and model?
2. How are you connecting your monitor to the graphics card?
3. What is the resolution set to in VSR?
4. Which driver is installed?
5. Is the screenshot from a secondary monitor connected to the graphics card?
It's a Sony KD-55X9005 55" 4k TV connected via HDMI on my primary XFX 7970 GPU, which has worked fine with win 7 x64.
No this is the only screen I have connected.
VSR is disabled and does not show up in CCC.
Latest driver installed which I downloaded and installed today.
Make sure you get the latest firmware from Sony installed from the link below:Sony Support
Already have the latest version, but it's nothing to do with the TV, It worked fine with windows 7 x64, Why AMD could just carry the bulk main code from the windows 7 drivers to win 10 is beyond me.
I tried a DELL 4K monitor using Win 10 and direct HDMI-HDMI connection with no issues, so it can't be a driver issue.
I've now found out it's intermittent and doesn't do it all the time, there is only 1 HDMI port on these XFX 7970 1ghz Black editions, Don't have DP-HDMI adaptor, Is yours he same GPU ?
I still can not select anything over 1920x1080, whether that's Windows fault or AMD drivers I don't know, One thing I do know is that with the latest drivers on windows 7 I did not have any sound, resolution, VSR or random disabled screen issues, I can only put that down to AMD's windows 10 drivers.
I have the same issue on both my monitors.
But here's the kicker; only one of those monitors is connected to my AMD card. The other one is connected to my 4770K's iGPU. If it happens to both of them then it can't be AMD driver's fault, can it?
I'm willing to bet it's yet another Windows 10 quirk.
Starting to sound like a windows 10 issue, have just tried forcing VSR on with
http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=397924 wagnard enable vsr, Now when I force it on and reboot i'm getting all the extra resolutions that you are supposed to get with vsr enabled in catalyst however when trying to go up to anything above 1920x1080 as recommended by windows in a game is just changing my resolution to 4k instead of 2k, so as far as i'm concerned the VSR is not working on my 7970 as stated in the release notes.
