ATI Radeon HD 4830 = Nvidia GeForce 9800 GT (in my opinion)
Nvidia published Windows 10 Drivers for Nvidia GeForce 9 series.
I guess I will never buy Amd Graphic Card once more.
....the 4000 series does not meet the minimum requirements for Windows 8.1 either.
Products That Do Not Support Windows® 10
AMD Radeon™ HD 4000 Series products and older are not certified to support Windows Display Driver Model (WDDM) 1.2 or higher and therefore, do not have driver support for Windows® 10.
The following is a list of graphics products that do not support Windows® 10:
ATI Radeon™ HD 4000 Series /ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 4000 Series Graphics
ATI Radeon™ HD 3000 Series /ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 3000 Series Graphics
ATI Radeon™ HD 2000 Series /ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 2000 Series Graphics
ATI Radeon™ X1### Series/ATI Mobility Radeon™ X1### Series Graphics

Windows® 10 will install the default Microsoft® Basic Display Driver (MBDD) for these graphics adapters. MBDD provides basic display functionality (low resolutions and color) on a single monitor but DOES NOT support:
Display scaling control
Brightness control on integrated display panels
AMD Catalyst™ Control Center
If your system is equipped with an AMD Radeon™ HD 4000 Series product or older, you may consider the following options:
Continue using the existing operating system.
If you have already upgraded to Windows® 10 and would like to revert back to the previous version of Windows, refer to this Microsoft page for instructions.
Upgrade to an AMD graphics product that provides Windows® 10 support. For information about resellers and product availability, visit: http://shop.amd.com
NOTE: Before upgrading ensure that your system meets the requirements of the graphics adapter, such as:
Motherboard with compatible graphics card slot
Adequate power supply unit to handle the complete system power requirements
Display with compatible connections
Thank you but I read. I am using Windows 8.1 and I will install Windows 10. I haven't installed Graphic Card's driver since Windows 7. I haven't met a problem. I just I want to see Nvidia's good side. Also My friend installed Windows 10 (His computer has Radeon HD 4800 series) and He's using hassle-free.
It`s a joke what he`s telling us. i got an 4850x2 and I can`t install it under W 10 but my Nvidia 8800 GT from 2007 works fine because Nvidia did something for older graphic cards. hope AMD will do it like Nvidia in time or i`ll never buy a ATI Graphic card. I`ve paid 241 euro 2010 for the 4850x2 and it`s still better than some newer Modells
This exact topic has been discussed dozens on times on these forums and I don't believe we're going to learn anything new.
To prevent an outbreak of a flame war, I'm going to lock this thread.
