I have bought an MSI 970A SLI Krait motherboard and i realized that while playing some "heavy" games the chipset northbridge temperature starts to climb from 40ºC (iddle) up to 80ºC (full load). I dont fell anything while playing but I fear that this is too much temp and the motherboard fry itself.
In order to avoid this i removed the sidewall panel from the case but the heatsink remains really hot while gaming. Only reduces the temperature of other components.
I have downloaded the monitoring software speedfan and I realized that the chipset - TEMP1 + TEMP2 temperature increase, goes alongside with the Vcore value. The CPU / GPU are not overclocked.
Do you know if this temperatures are normal? Where can I find the temperature range of the AMD 970 CHIPSET?
On idle the CPU temp is about 18ºC, on full load for some time goes to 50ºC.
