I recently switched from a discrete AMD GPU to the on-board graphics and uninstalled the Catalyst drivers as per instructions.
The PC is working, however when I look in the logs I see "AMD FUEL Service failed to start".
I have disabled it, as the path in the Service entry C:\Program Files\ATI Technologies\ATI.ACE\Fuel\Fuel.Service.exe /launchService is not present. I am not sure it ever was.
Anyway, I would like to remove all trace of AMD, Tom's Hardware suggests a utility exists that removes everything, http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/AMD-Clean-Uninstall-Utility.aspx however that page is not responding.
I am never impressed with software that when uninstalled leaves traces of itself all over the registry and the services are still listed. In the 21st Century surely software engineers are more capable than this, its not like its a new challenge.
Can anyone please advise how to remove ALL traces of AMD from a machine.
