I am running 3 monitors in eyefinity and I just updated my AMD Catalyst Control Center to version 15.20.
I cant find the option to set the bezel compensation anymore. Is the option gone? If its hidden somewhere else, does anybody know where?
Ok, so I tried it again this morning and wouldn't you know it, no bezel compensation option in that list.
What I've noticed is IF you don't adjust the screen(s) alignment up and down then you don't get the Select how you want to resize desktop Triangle and then you don't get bezel compensation.
So, when the alignment screen comes up, play with it and move on. I click through the resize section. See if that helps.
After making and saving your eyefinity group at the bottom in tiny green print is a few options. First one is bezel compensation.
The only options I can see at the bottom is:
Arrange Display Group
Creat Display Group
Disable Display Group
Customize Desktop Resolution
Position Windows Taskbar.
No bezel compensation
Got it. TY!
Hey I got the same problem. Can you explain a bit more about the steps to get the resize section. Here is what comes up when I create an "Eyefinity Display Group":
1 - Select a display arrangement for you group. (I choose new arrangement group)
2 - Select the desktop for which you want to create a group. (I click on middle screen)
3 - Select a layout for the display group. (I select 3x1)
4 - Rearrange your display as needed. (I start arrangement, then click on which screen comes blue)
It then creates the display group and save with a specific name. I don't get to choose any other options during process...
Please help me out.
What are your screen resolutions and how are they connected (hdmi/dvi..etc) and what OS and which driver is installed?
There might me something peculiar about your setup that is limiting you. All my screens are 1920x1080 connected by Displayport/DVI/HDMI 1 each.
If yours are similar the first thing to do is clear out the old driver and reinstall the version you want. You can use either AMD's install manager making sure to use the clear out all old drivers option, or DDU. Now if you have the Crimson edition installed I'm not sure DDU is updated and/or works properly with these new ones. I haven't had to try it yet.
Screen resolutions : 1920x1090 all 3 screens. 1 HDMI, 2 Displayport
OS: Windows 10 (it did work with 8). Problem started when I installed new OS
AMD Software version: 15.201.1151
Nothing unusual there. Did you use DDU or install manager to clean out the old stuff?
AMD's Install manager.
Try this then. Follow their instructions. Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) V220.127.116.11 Released. - Wagnardmobile Forum
Thank you very much. I have looked for the answer for ages and found it here. Thanks again
I have tried everything in the post and nothing works. The closest I got was using the DDU to remove the latest CCC and install CCC 14.5 from a backup I have. However, window keeps updating it to the latest version and each time bezel correction disappears.
Personally, I think it is appalling that we have to dabble with third party untested software because AMD want us to buy a new graphics card.
Yup, that windows update can be a nuisance. Use this to disable updating the driver. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3073930
First go to device manager and roll back the driver, the screen will flash a couple times and the properties page will have changed the driver version.
Then run the program above, it will find the newest driver in the update list. Mark as hidden. Your now using the old driver and won't be bothered until Windows pushes a newer driver.
N.B. this only works if you HAVEN'T manually uninstalled the 14.5 catalyst package. Your old CCC.exe should still be there.
Optionally.. check in C:\Program Files (x86)\AMD\CNext\CCCSlim or C:\Program Files (x86)\AMD\ and look around for CCC.exe Run them and see if one is the old version.
Thank you for the reply. I had a fiddle with the connection and managed to get it working for now. My screen were attached from the monitors HDMI, DVI, DVI to the graphics card HDMI, Display port, DVI. I swapped the HDMI to HDMI to a DVI to DVI, and the DVI to DVI to a DVI to HDMI. this has made the bezel correction option reappear.
Sorry for the rant, I have spent the two days trying to get this to work.
