Yesterday I was watching a stream and for no apparent reason the gpu fan started spinning like never before.
I tried reinstalling the drivers, using software to set the speed, leaving the pc unplugged overnight, removing and cleaning it. Nothing works at all.
Assuming the temperature sensor works the gpu is always around 35°C and ccc says the fan speed is at 28%, yet I can hear its noise even now.
The system itself is fine. Ironically the boot looks even faster now.
Is there anything else I can do beside testing it on a different pc?
The gpu is a AMD Radeon HD 6800 and the system is Windows 7 64 bit.
