ps: Does the new VSR feature have a effect performance?
I saw you question. However there is something that one of the guys posted on here and there linking this article to it. This was tested with a couple cards and several games. The results can be found in this article. I believe it makes sense. It makes sense to me. Personally I noticed quite a drop in GPU temperature and some drop from my CPU though I have clocked it up with Overdrive. I am convinced. Here is the article. Tested: AMD's Frame Rate Target Control delivers real benefits for Radeon gamers | PCWorld
I have not noticed any drop in performance. I have noticed I can overclock higher and my pc runs stable, an cooler than before. And, this is with higher clock rates than I had it set on previously. I am getting these results on Windows 8.1 (DX 11) and Windows 10 DX 12) I hope this answers your questions.
Can you be a bit more specific in how it "doesn't work".
ray_mamdmatt This may need more clarification(no mention HD series).

AMD Catalyst 15.7 Driver is available now!
Frame rate control appears to work for me. I am running an Asus HD7900 series card. I have the option to turn it on and to adjust it up to 95 FPS or a low as I want. If it was not working I would not think the option would present itself in CCC and I would not see lower frame rates in while benchmarking. And, it is running cooler. So, I believe it is working. I keep mine turned up though. I just want it to drop frames that are more or less not needed. Our systems can run many more frames than needed just because they are able too. This can add to higher temps and be a waste in performance for frames that may be more significant within the game or application we are using at the time. This all must be set outside and before games and/or applications are loaded in order to apply to them.
Now, you many not have the option showing up in your CCC with your 15.7 driver. If not, then it is possible that the older one was not uninstalled correctly or in the order given by AMD. I am not sure why?
No,it seems to be working for me,DualX7970OC/Boost.
I clean installed from 14.12.
p.s win8.1 pro x64.
Edit:- forgot quote.
my mistake goodplay!
I meant to that response for saol51. I must have clicked the wrong reply!
I just wanted to let him know it does actually work.
No worries, good excuse to add a little extra info.
p.s. I tested it on metro LL (delivered 1 frame less than settings(55/60/65/75).1920x1080 60hz(single monitor).
Just to make it clear, FRTC sets a TARGET Frame Rate.
That means the driver will attempt to keep frame rates as close to the target as possible, but there may occasionally be minor deviations from the target.
Also worth remembering that Frame Rate Target Control is supported on applications using DirectX® 10 or higher.
Not complaining, have not yet reconfigured my CCC settings/overclock with 15.7 driver.
Remember that the game needs to be in Fullscreen mode (exclusive full screen) for FRTC to work. windowed or Borderless Fullscreen doesn't apply.
This doesn't work for me in FIFA 16. I have done everything on the Radeon Crimson software and it just doesn't work. Fullscreen or not. And 16' is a DX11 game
