Borderlands 2 BSOD

Hello! I recently bought Borderlands 2, during the Steam Summer Sale, and when I started it up, I got a BSOD.. I researched this, and found out that it was my CPU's fault (AMD FX(tm) 8120), or my motherboard, and that the drivers of these had to be updated. I went on to find out that I have the newest software available. What do I do now?
I really want to play Borderlands, and I can't because of the components of my PC?!
Do I need to "downgrade" the drivers of my CPU?

Hoping for a reply asap...
