Hello helpful people!
I encounter this GPU Crash (see attached picture) on a randomized, but regular basis when playing Heroes of the Storm on my Intel i7 4770 with 8 GB RAM and a R7 240. (Windows 8.1). Without notice of lags or stutter, suddenly the GPU crashes and displays only random colorful pixels for some 15 seconds before the screen goes completely black. Then, the sound (which was playing on as if nothing happened before, even teamspeak or skype still works and people can hear me while the screen is in pixeltown chaos mode) starts to loop and the computer shuts down by itself. I can prevent this auto-shutdown only by doing a hard shut down by holding down the power button on the PC.
This happens only in Heroes of the Storm, only while playing the game actively (not while idling in the menu or anything) and not at any particular point in the game. Sometimes I can play 5 games in a row without it happening, sometimes it happens 5 times in one single game. Which is really bad because I have to restart the PC all the time, reconnect to the game - and sometimes the game is over before I can come back, and I get a leaver punishment.
Can you help me fix this?
Thanks in advance!
