Hi a not happy customer..
I have a stutter ance every second and this dosent matter what game im playing LOL or Witcher3...
And to think this would be a greate experiance..
I just bought r9 Fury X.. and it feals like a downgrade!
oh and i have the rampage formula motherboard and a i7 processor with 16gig memory
Give me less than week my fury X is the way , i ll share my Experience .
but for now i suppose i can suggest clean install for the driver .
just wait for new drivers the card is new and drivers are in very bad condition right now
I got my Fury X on Sunday and I'm in the same boat as you, I feel the stutter in almost every game I play, it almost feels like a downgrade from my R9 280X which is a pretty bad thing to say :/
Fx-8350 /16GB 1866 / Msi 970a G46 / R9 Fury X
Some games like battlefield 4 work flawlessly tho, I notice the stutter in GTA 5, Diablo3 and a few other games.
If I'm wrong though, and you had previous Radeon cards did you uninstall the previous drivers for your R9-200 series cards? The fury x uses different drivers Just throwing the fury x in and then installing the fury x drivers could cause problems...
Uninstalling drivers, restarting, installing the card, and then installing the new drivers would be best. If you want you can use msi afterburner or asus gputweak to run a log while your game and show evidence of the stutter to all of us. Your frametime (not framerate) should jump around considerably.
The stutter in GTA5 is related to the new anti cheat drm added in the small patch that followed the "I'll Gotten Gains" patch. I have a post regarding that on here you may want to peruse.
I did a completely fresh install of windows 7 with AMD-Catalyst-15.15.1004-Software-Suite-Win8.1-Win7-64Bit-June20 This drivers so I dont think thats the case.
Heres another question for you on the hardware side, Is it better to use two single PCi-E 8 pin power cables or is it ok to just use one 2x 8pin power connector, I'm using a seasonic X series 850W psu, From other research i've done on the next it says its ok just to use a single one with the split pci-e 8pin connectors on it.
Edit: Put two individual PCI-E 8pin power cables into the card. made no difference at all.
I've reinstalled the drivers after using DDU to completely wipe them.
I get REALLY bad screen tearing in everything I play, even with Vsync on.
I get really bad stuttering at high FPS in certain games ( Diablo 3 )
Dissapointed so far at this card.
I've just ordered 2 Sapphire R9 Fury X and these posts are making me nervous, I think you should be mindful of the negative influences your posts would be having on people weighing up whether or not they want to buy these specific cards! when my cards turn up I'll be running them in CrossFireX using the FreeSync feature!
I'm coming from 2x Sapphire 290X Tri-X OC 4GB and they where completely bulletproof for me! I cant imagine the new flagship card would have these types of problems I'm also running Windows 7 64 bit and intend to uninstall and shutdown with DDU before installing the new cards and then use the current 15.15 driver you mentioned in your above post! I've got DDU and the Display Driver waiting in a folder ready to go!
Will post here when I have them in my system and up and running good to go!
I'm hoping I wont have a single negative word to write here!!!
I'm confident if they are flaky on launch it'll be resolved soon in a driver update to come!
daiesthai please update us / me on the current situation because I am watching anxiously!
its the same .
I would use two single 8 pins vs one with a splitter. It might be ok to use the splitter but I use 2 separate power cables on my R9-290X just in case. My card can pull a lot of power, and I'm sure the fury x pulls as much, if not more. That's weird that you're getting tearing even with vsync on. I did some digging and there is no mention of these issues with fury x on any other forums. Also the only issue I heard of from the reviewers, is that Linus tech tips card was doa, but amd sent them a new one. Some benchmarks have it ahead of the 980ti, some have the 980ti winning. Might be some bias there.. Typical early adopter woes. I hope you get it straightened out. It should be an awesome card.
I've found fixes for most of the issues I've had with it and they were all game faults or issues, nothing to do with the card, fresh install of windows will do that I guess bring new problems to games.
The GTA 5 screen tearing problem is fixed simply by alt tabbing and tabbing back into the game, how silly is that, its running fine now at 1440p.
The diablo 3's problem with the stuttering, still not sure what causes this but someones fix of actually moving the game to a USB drive and running it off that fixes the issue, a really strange one that.
Games like BF4, sniper elite 3, Project cars etc are all running excellently on ultra settings.
Thanks for trying anyway, seems to be all good now and it'll get even better as new drivers roll out for it.
the source is the same , and the cable got same diameter .
