I bought a Sapphire Tri-X r9 290 and somehow the performance is worse than the HD 6870 that I replaced. I used to run pretty much any game at the very least medium settings, 1080p and get a pretty consistent 50-60 FPS.
The only game I've got even decent performance from so far is Crysis 3 (somehow!?). I'm only getting about 20FPS on Mortal Kombat X and GTA V with low settings on any resolution. I've used Display Drive Uninstaller (think that's what it's called) to remove any previous AMD drivers, tried all of the most recent Beta drivers from the AMD site, updated my BIOS, but it's still not running right.
Does anybody have any suggestions? I have HWINFO64 and I've been looking over the GPU utilization and temps and stuff but honestly, I'm no computer genius and all I can do is read the descriptions of each sensor and try to use common sense to figure out what I'm looking at so please let me know what you need for me to post in order for you guys to help me out. Thanks!
