Whats the difference between AMD Radeon R7 200 series & Radeon R7 240?
Its confusing for me because 200 "Series" means all of the 200s to me o.o Please explain!
The Radeon R7 240 is just part of the R7 200 series. To proof it look here at this link: http://www.amd.com/en-us/products/graphics/desktop/r7#2 look at the header which say R7 200 series and listed all of the cards. AMD does this with all his series. I have a R9 270, and in the drivers my card is labelled as being part of the R9 200 series.
The 200 series is a general classification. The 240 is the exact card. Why do you ask?
My R9 290 is also classified as a R9 200 series.
Thank you! I was just wondering cause i was looking at requirements for a game and i wasnt sure if i had 240 or if i had 200
I understand. Almost everything refers to the SERIES rather than the specific card, even the computer device manager, Speccy, and in the CCC under 'information' it's listed by the series.
Anyhow...now you know, and that's what's important Game on !!
